I 'fess up to being guilty of VERY serious editing
when it comes to photos around the house-
you never get to see the grubby kitchen floor, grimy windows,
un-vacuumed carpet, the dust, the damp patches (lots of both)
or grease on the Rayburn and teastains in the stone sink. . .

to mark the occasion of my 300th post
here's a picture of how we REALLY live-
coats strewn all over the stand
paint spattered crocs
muddy wellies
muddy carpet
smeary windows
damp walls (painted black to hide it)
cobwebs in the corner
half eaten cat food
and paw-prints down the dresser!
after 300 posts I think I know you well enough

Ah, that's how you live is it - I'm afraid I shan't be following you any more ;) Ha, ha - I think we all present the 'clean, pretty, calm + peaceful' image of ourselves and our homes on Blog posts - but we all know what life's like really! x

I keep searching for the photo of horrid untidiness...all I can see is a rather harmonious composition in black, white, pink & turquoise. Lovely!
sorry but that looks pretty tidy compared to our house lately! The mud has been horrendous this year. By the way, I am a huge fan of the needlepoint too, just love them.

You call that a mess, Elaine. I am straining my eyes to see a mess. I wanted to see something really disastrous. This looks pretty neat and clean to me? Am I now blind? I don't think so!
I think we should have a 'mess' contest! Let's all show our messiest (no cheating) pictures of our actual untidy areas. Any one want to play? We can put them on our blogs as a post for a day and we will all pick the same day. Yes, I want to see messiness the kind we can all be proud of!

I position the camera to cut out the mess all the time ! In reality I live in a really untidy house with cat food, paw prints, dog hairs, unmade beds, piles of dirty washing - piles of clean washing with a cat on top, string holiding windows shut, a bucket to catch water from a hole in the roof & dire need of new carpets !
It's called home.
